Eleanor May Pilz, age 94, of Arcadia, Michigan passed away on November 1, 2021, at The Maples in Frankfort, Michigan.
Eleanor was born on May 28, 1927, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Henry and Mildred Katschor. She was married to Wiler Lindquist until his passing on August 14, 1963. Eleanor then married George W. Pilz who passed away on January 13, 2004.
Eleanor was employed at Burroughs in Detroit.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia, MI, and was also a Ladies Aide there.
Eleanor found joy spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies, and baking.
She will be missed by her daughter Pamela Eckels; her granddaughters Stephanie Newsom (Al Gilbert) and Dawn Sutton; her great-grandchildren Devin Newsom, Cody (Shawna) Newsom, Logan Sutton, Noah Sutton, Jake Newsom, Zoey Sutton, and Abigail Newsom; her great great-grandson Owen Newsom; and a few nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, her first husband Wiler and her second husband George, Eleanor is preceded in death by her brother Henry Katschor; her sisters Lorraine Stavros and Sandra Ludwig; her son Darryl Lindquist; and her son-in-law Wayne Eckels.
A private family service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia, MI.
Eleanor will be laid to rest at Blaine Township Cemetery.
