Edward S. Mallison, age 76 of Manistee, passed away on Friday November 17, 2023, at Manistee County Medical Care Facility.

He was born on October 10, 1947, in Frankfort, Michigan, the son of the late Charles and Thelma (Erickson) Mallison. Ed graduated from Onekama High School, Class of 1966. On September 13, 1980, he married Donna L. Dashner at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Manistee, and they shared 43 years together.

Ed was a welder at Martin Marietta for 45 years before retiring.

He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and was a big U of M fan.

Ed is survived by his wife, Donna; his children Alicia R. (Jeffrey K. Penny) Mallison of Free Soil, MI and Todd (Renee) Mallison of Manistee, MI; stepchildren Debbie Skeans of Kaleva, MI, Mark (Guiseppina) Hansen of Ashland, VA, and Bob Hansen of Austin, TX; grandchildren Spencer and Peyton Mallison; step grandchildren Travis Skeans of Onekama, MI, Justin (Michaela VanDis) of Grandville, MI, and Jessica Morillo of Jacksonville, TX; step great-grandson Weston Skeans of Grandville, MI; and many other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brothers Carl F. Mallison and Charles K. Mallison, sisters Betty L. Krolczyk and Kathryn Petoskey-Myers, and his son Ryan Mallison.

During this time, no services will be held.
