Dorothy Anne Cole, 85, passed away on Thursday September 23, 2021, at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
Dorothy was born on August 23, 1936, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Robert and Frances (Flanek) Turner. She graduated from Northern High School in 1954. Dorothy went on to work at General Motors as a salary worker for 28 years before retiring in May of 1992.
On August 3, 1991, Dorothy married Frederick Cole in Grand Blanc, Michigan and they shared 30 wonderful years together filled with love.
Dorothy has many hobbies that she enjoyed. She loved gardening and working with flowers, shopping every now and then, crocheting, and collecting dolls. Dorothy was a humanitarian; always rescuing dogs and cats who needed help. She was widely known for her cooking and baking which will be missed by many.
Dorothy leaves her husband, Frederick; daughters Carolyn Rashotte and Kathryn Sluiter; granddaughter Daniele Sluiter; sister Rose Marie Turner; and many other family and friends.
Besides for her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her brother Walter William Turner.
There will be no services according to Dorothy's wishes.
