Donna Mae Jankwietz, age 90 of Manistee, passed away on Saturday November 9, 2024, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Born on May 2, 1934, in Manistee, Michigan, Donna was the daughter of the late William and Regina (Kroll) Bartoszek. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Schools in Manistee. On November 26, 1955, Donna married Roger Lee Jankwietz at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. They shared 57 years together before Roger's passing in May of 2012.
Donna worked at Consumers Power, Grant's Department Store, and Kmart where she retired as Human Resources Manager in 1994.
She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and Guardian Angels Catholic Church.
Donna loved to cook, bake, and entertain family and friends. She adored spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Ron (Sarah) Jankwietz of Cedar Rapids, IA; daughter Renee Schoenrock of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren Anna (Tim) Gnade of Cedar Rapids, IA, Evan Jankwietz of Cedar Rapids, IA, Adam Kapp of Grand Rapids, MI, and James Kapp of Madison, WI; great-grandchildren Cooper Gnade and Quinn Gnade both of Cedar Rapids, IA; and many cherished friends and extended family members.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Donna was preceded in death by her brother Robert Bartoszek and her daughter Pamela Maternowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Donna will be held on Saturday November 16, 2024, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father James Bearss Celebrant. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until time of mass.
Donna will be laid to rest at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
