Donald Linn Biganeiss, age 72, of Manistee, Michigan, passed away on September 26, 2024.

Donald was born on February 7, 1952, to the late Donald C. Biganeiss and Sue (Hill) Biganeiss, and raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. After marrying Cheryl (DeCender) Biganeiss in 1976, he remained in St. Clair Shores for most of his life before recently moving to Manistee.

A passionate hunter and sailor, Donald participated in numerous Bayview Mackinac sailboat races and served as a commodore for the Detroit Regional Yachting-racing Association. Donald had a profound interest in World War II history, a passion sparked by his father's service in the war. He spent countless hours studying the events, battles, and stories from that era, always eager to share his knowledge with others.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Laura Spingler, in April 2023, and Cheryl Biganeiss, in May 2023. Donald is survived his daughter Megan (John) Fitzgerald, son David Biganeiss, and his cherished labrador, Cooper. Donald also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald's ashes will return to a place where he found his greatest joy and peace.
