Diane Melvina Massty, age 85 of Manistee died Saturday, July 4, 2026 at MediLodge of Ludington.

She was born on March 9, 1941 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of the late Gordon & Elna Mae (Gill) Wilson. She attended Central High School in Flint. She married Paul Edward Masty at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Flint on February 7, 1959. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2017.

Diane had been employed as a baker in the bakery at Oleson’s Food Store in Manistee. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish (St. Joseph Church) in Manistee and was an active participant in activities at the Manistee Senior Center. She also enjoyed embroidery, tablet games, and watching the Andy Griffith Show.

Survivors include two children; Victoria (Dennis) Clark of Manistee and Paul (Colette) Masty of Flint, MI, grandchildren; Craig (Rebecca) Allison and Nicole (Joe) Sagan, great granddaughter; Sophia Sagan, and siblings Carolyn Self of Oscoda, MI and Linda (Larry) Grinnell of North Branch, MI.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter; Sherry Masty.

Funeral Services for Diane will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee with Father James Bearss officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until time of service.
