Dennis "Denny" William Green Sr., 77, of Onekama, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026. He was born May 6, 1948, at home in Onekama, the son of William and Winona (Erickson) Green.
On April 8, 1967, Denny married Linda Gumieny at Guardian Angels Church in Manistee. They were blessed with 58 years together, living in Onekama where they raised their family.
Denny graduated from Onekama High School in 1966. After high school, he received an associate's degree in Criminal Justice from West Shore Community College. He was Postmaster in Manistee, retiring in 2005 after more than 37 years working for the United States Postal Service, mentoring many others throughout his career.
He enjoyed boating and sunsets on Portage Lake with his family, day trips with Linda, vacations to Florida, and sitting on the deck drinking a cold one. He often listened to 60's music and would dance with Linda when their song, Unchained Melody, played. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make other people laugh. He loved his family deeply and spent his life involved with all of them.
