Obituary

Dale E. Dumas, Age 78 of Manistee died early Tuesday morning March 30, 2021 at his home
.
He was born on May 24, 1942 in Greenville, Michigan the son of the late Norman E. & Luella (Peterson) Dumas. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On December 31, 1962 he married Linda Kay Hollingsworth in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Dale was employed as a structural ironworker for 40 plus years, working out of Ironworkers Local #340
.
He was a member of VFW Walsh Post #4499, loved to paint pictures, hunt & fish, and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; Linda Dumas, 2 sons; Ken (Deborah) Dumas of Kalamazoo and Todd (Dawn) Dumas of Kaleva, several grandchildren, and two brothers; Lavern (Gilpha) Dumas of North Muskegon and Gene Dumas of Manistee.

Graveside Military Services by the Manistee United Veterans Council Honor Guard will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee.
