Craig George Cartwright, age 74, of Brethren, formally of Keego Harbor, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday November 3, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones.
Craig was born on August 9, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George and Frances Cartwright. He attended Breman High School and just before graduating, Craig enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 1967 and proudly served until he was honorably discharged.
On September 24, 1976, Craig married Carol Edward in Keego Harbor and they shared 45 years together.
He was employed by General Motors as a major body and worked there for 32 years before retiring in 2003.
Craig was a gun enthusiast, especially when it came to muzzle loaders. He enjoyed shooting and reloading modern guns and even had hand crafted over 3 beautiful guns that were extremely detailed oriented. When he wasn't doing something with his guns, Craig enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles. He was a great father and friend and will be missed by many.
Craig will be missed by his wife, Carol; his two sons Kelly and Christopher Cartwright; his brother-in-law Robert Edward; his two nieces Amy Edward and Kelli O'Connor; and many other family and friends.
Besides for his parents, Craig is preceded in death by his brother William Cartwright.
There will be no services during this time.
