Charlotte I. Veine, age 89 of Eastlake died peacefully at Nancy's House AFC in Manistee on Friday July 11, 2025.

She was born Dec 13, 1935, in Manistee, daughter of the late Henry S. and Susan G. (Zientek) Bladzik. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School class of 1953. Charlotte married Clifford Veine on November 23, 1957, at St. Joseph's Church in Manistee. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2019.

She worked as a switchboard operator for 8 years at Michigan Bell Telephone and was once Village Clerk for Eastlake.

She enjoyed bowling for many years on the Tuesday Suburbanite League, doing crossword puzzles, bird watching, camping, playing Pinochle, Detroit Tigers Baseball, and betting on NCAA Men's basketball brackets.

She is survived by her five children: Jeffrey (Janet) Veine of Spring Lake, Colette Arradaza of Eastlake, Michele (Mike) Wright of Valencia, CA, Eric (Tracey) Veine of Wixom, and Jason (April) Veine of Manistee, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sisters, Patricia Schmidt, Louise Lindeman, Sylvia Bladzik, brothers, Robert (Linda) Bladzik and Phillip Bladzik, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry S. and Susan S. (Zientek) Bladzik, and 2 brothers-in-law, Robert Lindeman and Robert James Schmidt.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday August 7, 2025, at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee from 4:00 to 6:00PM. Final interment will take place at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery on Friday August 8, 2025, at 12:30PM.

The family has entrusted funeral arrangements with Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee.
