Obituary

Carol Patricia Sullivan, 88, of Manistee, MI passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, peacefully at home on May 11, 2025.

Carol was born May 20, 1936, in Buffalo, NY to Daniel and Norma Sullivan. Carol graduated from Orchard Park High School in Buffalo. She enjoyed a successful career spanning multiple decades with the United Transportation Union (UTU), serving as Assistant to the President of UTU in Cleveland, OH. Carol retired to Manistee, MI in the 1990s to enjoy more time with family.

One of Carol's special gifts was her selfless, considerate spirit. A friend to all, Carol was the first to remember a special event, a birthday, a favorite food, or reach out with a kind word when it was most needed. Carol was a connector of people and cherished all the friends she made throughout her life. She enjoyed flower gardening and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Carol's pride and joy were her siblings, Dennis, Gerald, and Audrey, nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces. She loved them fiercely and served them tirelessly her entire life and was known to celebrate the children at every opportunity. Carol took pride in knowing every child's hobbies and special interests, attending every event when possible. She loved watching them grow into the wonderful young adults and children they are today.

Carol is survived by her brothers, Dennis (Linda) Sullivan of Manistee, MI and Gerald (Debbie) Sullivan of Kaleva, MI and sister, Audrey Millstein of Detroit, MI., nephews and nieces, Ryan (Kathleen) Sullivan , Laura (Jeremy) Jeruzal, Allison (Chris) Benczkowski and Gerald Sullivan, great-nephews and great-nieces, Benjamin, Emily, Broderick, Genevieve, Maxwell, Joslyn, and Charlotte.

Carol was an active member of Faith Covenant Church in Manistee, MI.

A private celebration of her life will be held with immediate family this summer.

Memorial donations may be made to Faith Covenant Church or Samaritan's Purse.
