Briyan William Daniel Steadman was born on September 30, 2016 in Grand Rapids, and left us way too soon on Thursday July 10, 2025.

He was almost nine years young and full of life. His smile could light up a room, his laughter was contagious, and his stubbornness, well, that just made life more interesting. With a team of therapists from Early On, Corewell Ludington Hospital, Manistee ISD, Manistee Munson Hospital, Home therapy, pool therapy, and horse farm, Briyan was a rockstar, always pushing past the doctor's expectations. Music was his jam, and with amazing friends, family, and a whole lot of love, he rocked this thing called life.

Northern Pathways Equine Center Horse Therapy Farm was his happy place, and who wouldn't love horses? He lived for his sister Sofiya's singing, and let's be honest, he was the real star of the show. Briyan loved being part of his sister's sports and musical events, and he always knew how to bring the funny. He had a way of making everyone feel at ease, and his love for animals was simply the best. Being part of Lakeshore Church brought him and his family a sense of belonging, and that's something to smile about.

Briyan's love for music, laughter, and life was infectious, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a blessing, a miracle boy, and his memory will live on.

In continuing Briyan's legacy, memorial contributions may be directed to any of his favorite places, including Northern Pathways Equine Center horse farm, Church Camp Arcadia, and other local families with special needs kids.

The celebration of Briyan's life will begin Saturday, July 19th at 5:00 PM at the Meade Township Cemetery in Free Soil. Wear bright colors and bring a chair. The Celebration of Life will continue Sunday, July 20th at 6:00 PM hosted by Lakeshore Church at 1201 Lakeshore Road in Manistee. All family and friends are invited – comfy clothes and bright colors are encouraged. Let's remember Briyan's Legacy.
