Betty J. Lytle, 94, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
Betty was born on March 20, 1927, in East Lake, Michigan, the daughter of the late Carl and Nellie (Stewart) Pierson. She attended Manistee High School.
Betty married Harold L. Lytle Sr. on September 27, 1947, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. They would have celebrated 74 years later this month. They moved to their home on Cherry Road and have lived there since that day.
Betty was a devote member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
There were many things that Betty liked to do. She really enjoyed cooking and baking. But above all else, Betty loved spending time with her family; they were everything to her.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Harold; son Harold Lytle Jr.; daughter Janeen Lytle; daughter-in-law Janet Lytle; grandsons Ryan and Kyle Lytle; sister Jean Edmonson; brother Terry (Rose) Pierson; brothers-in-law Bill Lytle and Lawrence (Pat) Lytle; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
Besides for her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her son Lenard Lytle; brothers K. Glen Pierson, Merle (Margaurite) Pierson, Leonard (Ann) Pierson, and M. Kenneth Pierson; sisters Reva Pierson, Eileen (Frank) Franklin, and Jackie (Jim) Ursum; sisters-in-law Juanita (Ralph) Cole and Edna Mae Pierson; brothers-in-law George Lytle, Kenneth (Stephanie) Lytle, and Earl Edmonson.
Visitation for Betty will be held on Tuesday September 28, 2021, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, where a service will immediately follow. Reverend Dr. Jeffray Greene will be officiating.
