Bernice Marie "Bunny" Uecker, age 80 of Bear Lake, passed away on Sunday October 1, 2023, at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital.
She was born on October 6, 1942, in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of the late Morris Arthur and Margaret Marie (Jean) Heck. Bunny attended Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. On September 6, 1957, Bunny married Frederick John Uecker Jr. at Bethel Lutheran Church in St. Clair Shores. They shared almost 54 years together before Fred's passing on March 17, 2011.
Bunny was a production worker at Custom Packaging.
She enjoyed completing Sudoku puzzles, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Bunny is survived by her daughter Britt (Jay) Martin of Bear Lake, MI; son Fred Uecker of Bismark, ND; grandchildren Rachel Uecker of Bismark, ND, Mark Uecker and Ben Uecker both of Twin Falls, ID, James (Sarah) Langell of Pierson, MI, Dan (Sheila) Langell of Big Rapids, MI, and Lauren Hanna of Manistee, MI; her siblings Linda Dubbs of Interlochen, MI, Mary Bolyard of Bradenton, FL, and Charles (Eileen) Heck of Interlochen, MI; and many other family and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband Fred, Bunny was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Neiderheide in 2006.
