Benjamin John Tomaszewski, age 29 of Portage, passed away on Wednesday December 11, 2024, in Kalamazoo.

Born on August 23, 1995, in Manistee, Michigan, Ben was the son of Dennis and Karen (Thomas) Tomaszewski. He graduated from Manistee High School, Class of 2013 and went on to Calvin College where he graduated from in 2017.

Ben was a chemical engineer at Pfizer Pharmaceutical Co. for 6 years.

He attended Oakland Drive Christian Church in Portage.

Ben found joy in photography. He also enjoyed running, playing golf, and fishing.

He is survived by his father and stepmother Dennis Tomaszewski & Nancy Skory; brother and sister-in-law Jason & Lindsay and their children Hannah and Jillian; sister and brother-in-law Abby & Jon and their children Stella and Hazel; uncles and aunts Mark Tomaszewski, Kathy (Tom) Contreras, Mike (Connie) Jankowiak, Kris (Joe) Randell, Kelly (John) Funderburg, and Kim Jankowiak; and many other family and friends.

Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward & Geraldine Tomaszewski, Bob & Bernadine Thomas, and Peter & Shirley Jankowiak; mother Karen Tomaszewski; brother Samuel Tomaszewski; and uncle Charlie Thomas.

A Memorial Service for Ben will be held on Sunday December 29, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee, with Pastor Dan Barkholz officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
