Barbara Ann Potter, age 86 of Manistee, died Saturday August 13, 2022, at Medilodge of GTC in Traverse City.
She was born on June 25, 1936, in Traverse City and was the daughter of Robert & Margaret (Martin) McBride. She was a graduate of Bear Lake High School. On June 6, 1954, she married Wilbur Lee Potter at Trinity Lutheran Church in Onekama. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2017.
Barbara was a hairdresser in Manistee at Jean's School of Beauty. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Onekama. She enjoyed baking.
She is survived by two daughters; Debra Vess of Scottville and Lynne (Gene) Gjestrum of St. Petersburg, FL, grandchildren; Jason (Kelly) Vess of Kaleva, Leemichael (Deanna) Baczewski of Largo, FL, Tara (Brandon) Drake, Adam Gjestrum, & Luke (Mindy) Gjestrum all of St. Petersburg, FL, her siblings; Roger (Laura) McBride, Gary (Kathy) McBride, & Karen McBride all of Bear Lake. Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sam McBride.
Graveside Services for Barbara Ann Potter will be held on Wednesday August 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Bear Lake Township Cemetery with Pastor Jacob Sherry officiating.
