Arlene Mae Davis, of Manistee, Michigan, passed away on June 28, 2024 at the age of 91.
Arlene was born on May 16, 1933 in Manistee, to Frank and Regina Steinberg. She married Gerald E. Davis (Jerry), also of Manistee, on September 29, 1951 and went on to have four children. Arlene and Jerry were married for 68 years before Jerry's passing in 2019.
Arlene and Jerry were known for their musical talents. Arlene played accordion while Jerry played guitar and sang. For over 50 years they provided music in their town and beyond for all occasions.
Besides music, Arlene's favorite hobbies were gardening and cooking. While serving one meal she was already planning the next and was best known for her homemade chicken soup. She also had a great love for animals, especially cats and took in many strays.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry and great granddaughter Sierra.
She is survived by her four children Wayne Davis, Tammy Anderson, Kathy Field, Bonnie Davis, two son in laws, Mike Anderson and John Field, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and her beloved cat Shadow.
A private celebration of life is being planned by the family.
