Ann Gauss Buchanan, age 70 of Wellston, passed away on Sunday September 11, 2022, in the comfort of her home.

Ann was born on October 4, 1951, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of David and Jane (Oberdorfer) Gauss. On May 16, 1985, Ann married David Buchanan III in Big Pine Key, Florida and they shared 48 loving years together.

She graduated from the University of Michigan with her bachelor's in education and then also from Washtenaw Community College with her associates in electrical engineering.

Ann enjoyed the outdoors. She loved spending her time swimming, fishing, and hiking. Ann also liked to cross country ski; her and David were part of the Manistee County Cross Country Ski Council. Ann's love in life were her German shepherds.

She is survived by her husband, David; her sister Mary Vliek; her brother Dave (Mary) Gauss; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Ann will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
