Albert Andrew Less, 90, of Fenton, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2026, at Maple Ridge Manor in Manistee, Michigan.

Albert was born November 27, 1935, in Flint, the son of Albert and Theresa Less.

He graduated from Davison High School in 1954, and later attended General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan. Following high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving with the 4th Infantry Division in Frankfurt, Germany, and supporting Cold War NATO deterrent forces (1954-1956).

In 1956, he began his 36 year long career with General Motors at the Grand Blanc Fischer Body/Cadillac facility. He was a draftsman, a toolmaker, and finally a Skilled Trades Supervisor, retiring in 1992.

He married Bernardine Marie Bodnar on November 11, in Flint, Michigan, and together they shared nearly 69 years of marriage. Al was a member of St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton, Michigan, and most recently Divine Mercy Parish in Manistee, Michigan. Al enjoyed traveling, fishing, football, and spending time with family.

Al is survived by: his wife, Bernardine; son, James (Mary) Less; sister-in-law, Joanne Bodnar; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Lois Mathews; son, David Less; and brother, Carl Less.

As a devoted husband and father, Al leaves a legacy of wit, laughter, kindness, and love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Maple Ridge Manor, 1967 Maple Ridge Dr., Manistee, MI 49660, with Father James Bearss presiding. Military Honor's will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly Michigan, at a later date.
