Obituary for Kenneth Theodore Badrak

Kenneth Theodore Badrak, age 81, of Ludington, passed away October 6, 2017 in his home. He was born December 25, 1935 in Detroit to Theodore and Frances (Bielowos) Badrak. Ken graduated from Bentley High in 1953 and went on to study at Cass Tech Trade School. Ken enlisted in the US Army and served his country in Okinawa.
On July 24, 1965, Ken married the love of his life, Faye Wingard, at St. John the Baptist in Dearborn, Michigan.
Ken worked as a tool and die maker for Fisher Body, owner and operator of D & B Discount in Mancelona, and a food broker for Conrad Patterson. He was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church and the Daniel Lord Counsel 3989 and a charter member K of C.
Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family and he was an avid reader, reading upwards of 250 books a year. Ken was a kind and giving man who loved to cook and bake for others.
Ken is survived by his brothers, Donald (Josephine) Badrak and Michael (Lillian) Badrak; nieces and nephews: Donald II (Cathy) Badrak, Brian (Debra) Badrak, Matthew (Heather) Badrak, Derek (Jen) Badrak, Steven (Elayne) Casey, Ellen (Jim) Thompson, Christopher Casey, and 13 great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sister Delores Chojnowski and his wife Faye Badrak.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. Ken will be interred at Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona next to his wife Faye at a time to be determined.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Ludington.
